What is the E33F Retirement KITAS?
The E33F Retirement KITAS is the updated version of the former C319 Retirement KITAS, aligned with Indonesia’s most recent visa classification index.
This limited stay permit is specifically designed for foreign nationals aged 60 years and above who wish to retire and reside long-term in Indonesia, particularly in destinations like Bali.
Key Features:
- Valid for 1 year and renewable annually
- Allows for multiple entries and exits throughout the year
- Enables you to legally reside in Indonesia
- Allows engagement in non-employment activities such as tourism, social visits, and cultural exploration
- You may bring eligible dependents, such as your spouse, by applying for a Family KITAS (E31)
E33F Retirement KITAS – Stay in Bali for 1 Year with Peace of Mind
The E33F Retirement KITAS is a limited stay permit designed for retirees who want to enjoy long-term living in Indonesia, especially popular destinations like Bali. It allows you to stay for 1 year, with multiple entries, and is renewable annually.
Who Is Eligible?
You must be at least 55 years old
This is the minimum retirement age recognized by the Indonesian government.
How Long Can You Stay?
- Valid for 1 year with unlimited re-entries
- You may extend your Retirement KITAS yearly
- Extension is possible as long as you continue to meet the requirements

Required Documents
To apply for the E33F Retirement KITAS, please prepare the following:
- Passport Copy
Must be valid for at least 12 months - Health & Life Insurance
Issued by an Indonesian or international provider that covers you in Indonesia - Proof of Income
Minimum USD 3,000/month (from pension, rental income, etc.) - Bank Statement
Showing at least USD 2,000/month for the last 3 months - Indonesian ID Cards (KTP)
Two local ID holders who will act as your local contacts/assistants
Their registered address must match your rental address - Lease or Rental Agreement
A valid contract for your residence in Bali
Changing Your Address While on KITAS
If you move to a new residence during your stay:
- Notify Visvasa Global Services of your new address
- Obtain a Domicile Letter from your new Banjar (village office)
This step is also mandatory if you’re renewing your KITAS and your address has changed.

Process of Making E33F Retirement Kitas
Submit your E-KITAS
Once we received all the documents, we will promptly submit your E-KITAS application. The timing for the E-KITAS variates depending on the type of KITAS you are apllying. However, please note that processing times may be longer if there are errors or system maintenance by immigration
Enter within 90 days
Upon receiving your E-KITAS, you have 90 days to enter Indonesia from the date it was issued if you are applying from offshore. If you do not plan to enter Indonesia within this period, you will need to re-apply for an E-KITAS.
KITAS ready
Once we have received your passport, we will handle the submission of your passport and KITAS documents to Immigration. We will prepare all necessary documents. You will receive a schedule for your photo appointment within 7 business days (though this may take longer if there are system issues at the immigration office). We will notify you of the schedule via Whatsapp. After completing the biometrics registration, your passport and KITAS e-card will be ready within 5 business days.
