The D12 Pre-Investment Visa is a Multiple-Entry Visa valid for 1 year, specifically designed for foreign investors and entrepreneurs looking to explore and prepare for business ventures in Indonesia, including Bali.

Multiple Entry, Long Stay

  • The visa is valid for 1 year
  • On each entry, you can stay in Indonesia for up to 180 days (6 months)
  • After 180 days, you must exit the country, but you may re-enter and stay another 180 days, as long as it’s within the 1-year validity period

⏱️ Important:
Your 180-day stay begins on the date of your first entry, as recorded on your ITK (electronic arrival stamp) — not from the date your visa was issued.

What You Cannot Do with This Visa

The D12 Pre-Investment Visa does not permit work or income-generating activities in Indonesia.

You are not allowed to:

  • Be employed or supervised in daily operations
  • Receive payment or compensation
  • Sell goods or services within Indonesia

This visa is strictly for preparatory and exploratory business activities only.

When Must You Enter Indonesia After Visa Issuance?

Once your E-Visa is issued, you have 90 days to enter Indonesia.

Can You Work or Trade with the D12 Pre-Investment Visa?

No. The D12 Pre-Investment Multiple Entry Visa does not allow employment or trade activities in Indonesia, as per Indonesian immigration regulations.

Required Documents for the D12 Pre-Investment Visa

To apply for the D12 Visa, please prepare the following:

📘 1. Passport Copy

  • Color scan of the biographical page and passport cover
  • Must be valid for at least 9 months
  • Must include at least 2 blank pages
  • The image must be clear, uncropped, and in landscape orientation

Note: If you’re using travel documents other than a national passport, you must provide a re-entry permitfrom your issuing country’s immigration office.

    • Current account balance

  • Official invitation or correspondence from a government agency or private institution
    (explaining their relationship with you and the purpose of your visit)

📄 5. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • A detailed record of your academic backgroundprofessional experience, and current occupation

  • Include a schedule of your planned activities in Indonesia
  • Must detail:
    • Flight information
    • Hotel/accommodation bookings
    • City-to-city travel plans, if applicable
