What is the D1 Tourist Visa – 1 Year?
The D1 Tourist Visa (1 Year) is a multiple-entry visa that allows you to stay in Indonesia (including Bali) for up to 1 year. It is designed for individuals participating in meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE), while also offering the opportunity to explore Indonesia and reconnect with family and friends.
Key Features:
- Validity: 1 year from the issue date of the E-Visa.
- Multiple Entries: You can enter and exit Indonesia multiple times within the 1-year period.
- Stay Duration per Entry: Each stay allows up to 60 days (2 months).
- Non-Extendable: This visa cannot be extended. After 60 days, you must exit the country before re-entering.
- Application Location: Can be applied for while offshore (outside Indonesia).
Entry Requirement After E-Visa Issuance:
Once your E-Visa is approved, you must enter Indonesia within 90 days from the issuance date.
To avoid delays or issues:
- Apply at least 1 month before your intended travel date.
- Double-check your passport validity, flight bookings, and other travel documentation in advance.
Can You Work or Trade with the D1 Tourist Visa – 1 Year?
No, working or trading is strictly prohibited under the D1 Tourist Visa – 1 Year, in accordance with Indonesian immigration regulations.
- You cannot engage in the sale of goods or services.
- You cannot receive any form of income such as wages, rewards, or other payments while in Indonesia.
- This visa is not designed for employment or commercial trading purposes.
These restrictions exist to ensure that the visa is used only for tourism, family visits, and participation in meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions (MICE) — as well as pre-investment or exploratory business activities that do not involve direct employment or income generation.

Required Documents for the D1 Tourist Visa – 1 Year
To apply, please prepare the following:
✅ 1. Passport Copy
- Color scan of your passport data page and the cover page
- Passport must be valid for at least 9 months
- Must have minimum 2 empty pages
- Image must be clear, not cropped, not blurry, and in landscape orientation
⚠️ Important: Damaged passports may result in entry denial. This includes:
- Torn or bent pages
- Loose bindings or frayed edges
- Unofficial stamps or stickers
- Water damage
- Damaged or unreadable RFID chip
✅ 2. Recent Passport-Size Photo
- Must be clear and in color
- Avoid facial expressions, filters, or non-standard formats
✅ 3. Personal Bank Statement
- Minimum balance of USD 2,000 (or equivalent)
- Covers the last 3 months
- Must display your name, account balance, and statement period
✅ 4. Supporting Letter (choose one):
- Invitation or official correspondence from a government agency or private institution,
OR - A statement letter from your spouse or parent, explaining your relationship and activities in Indonesia
(Include a family card or supporting document)
✅ 5. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- A detailed summary of your academic and professional background
✅ 6. Travel Itinerary
- Include flight details, hotel accommodations, and activity plans in Indonesia
- Mention if you’re visiting multiple cities and provide addresses and travel details
✅ 7. Indonesian Address
- Provide the address where you’ll stay
- For long stays, it’s recommended to rent a fixed address
Note: Frequent address changes require reporting and a fee of IDR 500,000 per update
