What Is the C22A / C22B Internship Visa?
The C22A / C22B Internship Visa is the new and updated version of the former B211B Internship Visa, now fully aligned with Indonesia’s most recent immigration regulations.
It is specifically intended for academic or professional internship activities within companies, offices, or institutions in Indonesia — whether for education fulfillment or skill development.
C22A vs. C22B – What’s the Difference?
Visa Type | Purpose | Who It’s For | Tourism/Family Visit Allowed? |
C22A | Academic Internship | Students needing to complete academic internship requirements (for overseas education) | ✅ Yes |
C22B | Company Internship | Individuals doing skill-development internships with a company or workplace | ✅ Yes |
✅ Both visas allow limited tourism and visiting friends/family during your stay.
How Long Can You Stay in Indonesia?
You can choose between two visa types depending on your internship duration:
Option 1: 60-Day Visa (Extendable)
Initial stay: 60 days
Extensions: 2 x 60 days
Total stay: Up to 180 days
✅ You must extend before your current stay expires.
Option 2: 180-Day Visa (Non-Extendable)
One-time stay: Full 180 days from entry
❌ No extensions possible
⚠️ Note: Visa validity begins the day you enter Indonesia. Choose your type based on your internship schedule and return flight.
Single Entry Visa
This visa is Single Entry — if you leave Indonesia before your visa expires, you’ll need to reapply for a new visa to return.
Entry Timeline: How Soon Must You Enter Indonesia?
Once your E-Visa is issued, you have 90 days to enter Indonesia. The validity period starts from the “issue date” shown on your E-Visa.
⚠️ Important: If you do not enter within 90 days, your visa expires automatically, and you’ll need to reapply.
✅ Tip: Apply at least 1 month before your flight to ensure smooth processing and avoid last-minute delays.
